Dr. Rick Repetti recently received his Ph.D in philosophy for his dissertation on the relationship between reflective consciousness and autonomy. He also completed two years of post-graduate training at the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy and Training in NYC. Rick founded and convenes the Free Will Circle, an informal seminar devoted to discussion of issues relating to free will and responsibility, open to faculty and students at the CUNY Graduate School. He is also a member of the advisory board to the Kingsborough Center for Teaching and Learning.
Rick has the unique distinction of specializing in several fields, each with substantial expertise. He holds a doctorate degree in Philosophy and is a practicing professor for the City University of New York, in the department of History, Philosophy & Political Science.
In addition, Rick holds a black belt in martial arts and is a yoga practitioner for over 30 years. His particular specialty in these ancient disciplines is the art of meditation.
For several years, Rick has been conducting Yoga classes at Natural Balance. Besides also conducting basic Meditation classes, Rick recently designed a themed program of Meditation classes that have been very well received by its' participants.
As if that weren't enough, Rick also finds time to provide Natural Balance clients with unique, one-on-one Yoga therapy sessions. Rick is willing to spend the time necessary to help you achieve your personal goals.
